How to... 

• Cut Bronze card 29.5cm by 21cm and score this at 4,14,18 and 28cm the extra bit is the flap to stick it together.
• Score the shorted side at 2cm (this is the bottom of the box) 
• Using tonic layering dies Oval and Circles - die cut- (Sizes count from the smallest die out)
• 2 x Eyes from White Ice Card, size 1, circle die
• 2 x Cheeks from Bronze Card, size 2, circle die
• 1 x Head from Bronze Card, size 9, circle die
• 2 x Ears from Bronze Card, size 6, oval die
• 2 x Inner Ear from Misty Rose Card, size 3, oval die
• 2 x Feet from Bronze Card, size 4, oval die
• 2 x Inner feet, from Oyster Shell Cream Card, Size 3, oval die
• 1 x Tail, from Bronze Card, size 6, oval die
• 1 x Inner Tail from Oyster Shell Cream Card, size 4, oval die
• 2 x Hands (paws) from Bronze Card, size 4, oval die
• 1 x Nose from White Ice Card, size 1, circle die.
• 1 x Teeth from White Ice Card, Heart Punch

• Die Cut a hole in the front panel for the window, Using the Ultra Clear Tape, stick a rectangle of Extra Thick Acetate behind. Everything else is layered up with 2mm foam pads.
• Fold the edges of the card in to create your basic box and stick together with Ultra Clear Tape.
• Hole punch the card at the top to be able to thread the ribbon before attaching the head.
• Cut whiskers from the White Ice Card and stick to the head using the 2 in 1 Glue Pen along with the eyes, nose, cheeks and teeth to the head.
• Using the Foam Pads later up and attach the ears to the head and then the head to the body.
• Layer up the feed and tail with the Foam Pads and again using the Foam Pads attach this to the body. 
• Attach the paws with Foam Pads
• Use the ribbon to give Benny a bow 
• Fill your box and tie the bow

Window Clings

Our demonstrators are very clever girls! Rushanne has made some Window Clings using Non-Slip Grip,  Coloured Card, Punch Sheets and Alcohol Markers.

Die Cut a basic shape from your Non-Slip Grip and any shape of your choice from your Card and Punch Sheets, attach the two together and you are ready to go! for intricate dies like the butterfly colour the gaps for a rainbow effect.

Perfect for kids and can be used all year round;

Easter, Halloween, Birthdays and Christmas! 

If stored correctly they can be used over and over again!

Pin Bauble

Thanks to Michelle you can now make this wonderful Pin Bauble at home.

Michelle has used:

Polystyrene Bauble

Double Faced Satin Ribbon Silver 3mm x 5m S57187

Paint the polystyrene bauble and allow to dry.

Stick a 3" strip of 6mm wide red or brown extra strong tape along the top.

Secure the ribbon onto the tape also making a loop in the middle. 

Feed a small sequin then a larger one onto the pin then dip into PVA and stick into the polystyrene ball covering the ribbon first. This will also ensure that the ribbon is secure.

Put them in as close as possible until the whole bauble is finished.

Instructions:

Debbie has sprayed some White Card with a mix of the Fabric Spray Paints which are great for paper craft too. When dry she has printed the sail boat (Sail Away JGS520) and coloured with water based pens.

She die cut an aperture from the front of the A5 Card Blank and then attached the stamped image to the inside of the card so that the boat shows from the front. Debbie then printed the words she wanted using Word on her computer and then printed it onto the Printable Acetate in the same way you would onto a piece of card.

Debbie advises leaving the Acetate to one side for a while just to allow the ink to "set" as it's slightly tacky when it comes out of the printer.

She then cut the Acetate to fit and attached it to the inside of the card with Ultra Clear Double Sided Tape. Cut another piece of White Card with the aperture to fix over this just to hide the tape and make it look neater.

Happy Easter Card

Easter is fast approaching but you still have time to make those handmade cards! Take some inspiration from Jane Collman with this fun Easter design!

Instructions:

Make a 6" x 4 1/4" landscape base card from Cream Hammer Embossed Cardstock.
Cut 3 pieces of Tangerine Card 5 1/4" x 3 3/4" and 3 pieces of the Yellow Gingham Card 5" x 3 1/2"

Layer all pieces together using Tape Runner.  Die Cut letters from Tangerine Card and arrange on card.  The Glue Pen is perfect for sticking your tiny letters/embellishments.  Don't worry if you can't get letters straight, wonky is good!

Layer cardstock and add to inside of the card.

Cut a strip of the Cream Hammered Card 1/2" x 8 1/2" long. Fold every 2 1/8" and with Tape Runner, stick to inside of card as shown in finished picture.

To complete card, die cut chicks and add to card as shown.  For cracked eggs, cut an oval die shape in half and place chick behind.

What an egg-cellent Easter idea!

Instructions

Jane used a White Stardust Cracker, which are great for other occasions such as Easter or Weddings. Push out the diamond shapes and keep them as they can be glued together to make pretty star shapes etc for other projects.

If you have trouble shaping the crackers, try using a wooden rolling pin to roll them around!

Cut Orange Stardust Paper and use a Tape Pen to stick to the cracker.

Ultra Sticky Clear Tape added to the edges of the orange pieces is great for Glitter and Beads.  Use a Stix2 Clean and Clear Tray to keep your glitter in one place and excess can be easily put back into the tube.

Tie off one end of the cracker with Double Faced Satin Ribbon and insert snap if required then fill cavity with Easter goodies!

Add more ribbon tying off both ends.

To finish, a Die Cut Oval Shape makes a perfect base for an Easter chick. Cover with glitter either using PVA Glue or A4 Double Sided Sticky Tape Sheets.  A little Hot Melt Glue will hold your chick nicely on the base and the base to the cracker.

Mother's Day Inspiration

Mother's Day is only a month away so time to create a special card for a special lady. Debbie Frost has designed this beautiful mixed media card.

Craft canvas on a roll.

Instructions:

Debbie has used the Stix2 with Heat Range and has started by using the Tim Holz Wildflowers dies with the Various Materials Sheet.

She then sponged the die cut flowers softly with the pastel colours of the Versamagic pads before removing the paper backing sheet (a bit tricky but worth it!) and laying in place on the canvas which she had previously sponged with the Distress inks.

Now cover the flowers with Parchment Paper and heat with the Craft Iron. It's important to leave the Parchment Paper in place until completely cold or you will peel off your design too! This effect gives a beautiful water colour look. She then glued the piece of canvas to a piece of lavender card and mounted to the left of the Stix2 Card Blank.

Next she took a piece of the Double Sided Polyester Sheet and peeled off one backing paper to stick it onto a piece of card. Debbie then die cut two butterflies using the Tim Holtz Detailed Butterflies set using the solid butterfly die.

She also die cut two butterflies in Pink and Blue Tinted Card using the filigree die. She peeled off the remaining backing sheet on the "solid" butterflies and applied the hologram Silver Transfer Foil from the "Carnival" set.

What a simple but stunning effect!

Now simply lift the wings of the lacy butterfly and attach it to sit over the silver one. To finish Debbie has stuck the butterflies to the Card Blank along with the stamped sentiment and she has added some Clear Foam Pads covered with Transfer Foils as embellishments.
